The 2023 class continues the great tradition of student  diversity. Characterized by "Chinese Business Practices" and "Chinese Culture", Antai Global Summer Program is intended to allow students a quick understanding of Chinese culture and Chinese business from multiple perspectives by participating in the program, and to bring the students a lifelong summer experience. The three-week program mainly includes four modules: Chinese economics and management courses, Chinese language and culture lectures, exclusive company visits, and Chinese cultural immersion activities & city sightseeing.

“China has a major impact in the world now, and probably it’s going to have a greater impact. So learning a perspective of Chinese economy from a Chinese professor and in China is a new thing to me and also what I enjoy very much as an economics student in my own country.” said Agustina from Argentina.

This year, students visited Huawei – a phenomenal Chinese company in the tech field, Datagrand – a Chinese AI company, and Medmotion – an emerging star in the niche market of sports rehabilitation industry. In addition to the interpretation of China's business environment, hot topics such as consumer behavior, carbon neutrality, Chap-GPT and AI were also debated during the program period. We were happy to see that students integrated their takeaways from these company visits to their final project of this our summer program.

Most of the students came to China for the first time, so the cultural experiences such as tea tasting, opera mask painting, water town excursions were greatly enjoyed by the students, making it an unforgettable Chinese cultural trip too.

One new component of this year’s AGSP is the integration of Doing Business in China online courses. AGSP students are offered free access to a selective group of online courses, extending their China-specific business learning even when they are back to their home countries.

“Indeed, after this three-week summer program, I would like to consider a long-term exchange program at Antai, or pursuing a master degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.” Victoria from HSE University, a top university of economics and management in Russia, expressed with excitement.

Antai Global Summer Program was founded in 2013 with an aim to help its participants to understand China and communicate with the world. AGSP will continue to facilitate as a platform to share Chinese business knowledge and practices leveraging ACEM’s resources, open dialogues among young people who are interested to know China more with their own eyes and ears and call for synergies to build ACEM a truly internationalized world-class business school.

Stay tuned for 2024 Antai Global Summer Program which will be from July 8 to July 26 in Shanghai, China.
